Our story

Meet the Baker

Hi, I'm Martina, the baker and owner behind Golden Loaf by Martina.

Golden Loaf started in my home kitchen in Northern Colorado with one sourdough starter, a lot of patience, and a simple idea: bread should feel like a gift. What began as weekend experiments for family and neighbors quickly became a rhythm I looked forward to each week—mixing flour and water on Friday, folding dough late into the evening, and pulling warm, golden loaves from the oven early Saturday morning.

There is something special about the slow and simple process of making sourdough. Every loaf is naturally leavened, fermented for at least 24 hours, shaped by hand, and baked in small batches. There are no shortcuts—just quality ingredients, time, temperature, and the quiet rhythm of a living starter.

I offer traditional plain sourdough along with a rotating selection of sweet and savory specialty flavors, including Raspberry & White Chocolate, Everything Bagel, and Jalapeño Cheddar. I love experimenting with new combinations while still honoring the comforting simplicity that makes sourdough so special.

I bake in small batches because I believe bread tastes better when it is made with intention. Whether you are bringing a loaf to a family gathering, sharing it with a friend, or enjoying a quiet morning slice with coffee, my hope is that each loaf brings a little warmth to your table.

I am incredibly grateful for the support of my Northern Colorado community. Thank you for supporting my small business and allowing me to share something I truly love with you and your family.
